Thank you for this: “Then I figure out when and where I can offer service for a season many find lonely and harsh. This could be volunteer work, charitable giving, or simply reaching out to a friend who is struggling.” It’s a shittier than usual time, and we all need to extend service to our communities. 💗 Loved all of this!
Thank you both! Agree that all cashmere pills, but the quality of the fibers and how they’re woven can definitely impact how quickly it pills and the severity. A sweater comb is a must regardless. I’ll give it a go! While we’re here, is the COS one super oversized? I’m petite (5’1”) and loooove the chunky oversized look but not sure I have the height for it.
It was a best-seller for us last year. It's a thinner knit, not chunky. All natural fibers pill, including cashmere, even the nicest cashmere you can buy. I'm always confused when folks use it as a referendum on quality. If you don't want pilling, don't buy cashmere, or just get a cashmere comb. Anyways, it's an oversized fit and I think it's a good sweater for layering -- over a white t-shirt, under a light jacket, etc.
I have that quince sweater (from maybe 3 years ago)—it’s fine. Gets pretty pilly quickly (cleans up with a sweater shaver). The way it hangs just feels sort of…limp? If that makes sense? It’s been relegated to my “emergency layer” in my desk at work these days.
Came for the sweater but now I'm distracted by that perfect blush!!!
It’s a great hack for everyone who thinks grey washes them out!
But would you use Popette or Bichette? The first photo looks amazing-er. Maybe the lighting?
The first photo is Poppet, it's just the crappy overhead lighting in my apartment
It looks stunning on you
thanks!
Agree
I am so with you. Nothing beats a good cashmere sweater!!
I realllllly loved your US Open makeup- stellar Jess!
thank you! It's the underpainting palette. Major game-changer
(pun intended)

Loved this one <3
not as much as I would have loved to see Coco vs Naomi like YOU got to
Thank you so much with the playlists!
at your service
Tragedy: found the Ophelia on Posh! Seized it! But then it did not pass their authentication … leaving me grateful but bummed!
omg there are faux-phelias out there??
No, it didn't leave yet ( summer)... at least not in Mayami, prepare for the usual heat and humidity, not one grey cashmere in sight here.
I'd expect nothing less of the tropics
IFYKYK…
Love this post! I’m curious about the Quince option, Jess - I haven’t shopped there but curious about their quality and fit

Oops - the COS wasn’t linked here but it obviously gets referenced a lot as an alternative to the Ophelia so it’s been on my radar
the COS one is not oversized the way Ophelia is. It's roomy but fits more like the La LIgne Marin IMO.
Good to know - thanks! Appreciate all the tips always
