Hi from Montauk! It feels like the perfect place to write this letter from, which is all about the spirit of summer.
We’re no strangers to High Sport, the playful womenswear brand founded by Alissa Zachary. I love all the brand’s pieces, but undoubtedly High Sport’s “greatest hit” is their kick pants — a perfectly-constructed pant with the ease of a legging and the polish of a trouser. They flatter everyone, they look equally great with a dressy heel and the most casual flat, and you can really move in them.
If you want a pair, the brand is still more on the IYKYK side, meaning not broadly available: Moda Operandi is one of the few places online that stocks ‘em in a thorough size run. If you see your size in stock, don’t linger on it!
If I were to pinpoint the cool girl daytime uniform de riguer, it’s got to be High Sport’s kick flares topped off by a Chava Studio button-down and jewelry from Dorsey and Sherman-Field, all grounded by a chic no-nonsense sandal, like the above by The Row, or a good Venetian slipper.
