I spent summers “summering” in the Hamptons from the late 70’s until the early 90’s. It sounds like fun (and way more stylish) but it seems to have gone way upscale since those days! There were a lot of ramshackle houses out there then. But Stephen Talkhouse will forever be my favorite music venue!!
I did — love that movie and the fact that it takes place there makes me watch it every time it’s on! I am writing a fashion essay collection - tales of love, loss, working in fashion and finding my authentic self all told through what I wore — and I promise it will have great nostalgia like this. Broken down by decade you get to relive what we all wore; while it’s my own story, we have all been there!
Oh I love that! The Stalkhouse? Dying! 🤣🤣🤣And completely randomly I met the son of the owner-maybe past owner now – who works as a nurse in an infusion center in San Francisco! What are the chances?
Incredibly spot on. I just rewatched the sex and the city Hamptons ep and this has all that same energy. I’m LOVING Marlien's Le Catch a Jitney campaign (and that Clare V bag is Le Jit). Fun to read (as always) Jess!

The Talkhouse is my forever fave — I met my husband there. Which is rare for 3am at a spot we always called The Stalkhouse.
ohhh - I love that story. Dif you see that movie "Something Borrowed" a good portion of that takes place at the Talkhouse!
