I love the French combs and the idea of slob chic. It’s very Donni/ my ideal fall work wardrobe.

I love the combs too. Going on my wedding hair inspiration board.

The Row show made me tempted to steal my mom's French combs that she hardly uses. This made me even more tempted.

Sounds like it’s time to borrow and tinker!

I love your voice. I feel so lucky to have invited myself to your wedding . I can’t believe we are friends. Wait, we are real friends right?

Jess Graves's avatar

I mean, I'm bringing your save the date to our event and we're going to solve the problem of beds together, so I'd say certified real haha

I bought 9 French combs the day after the photos launched. Broken English hair pins are amazing and hold all of my thick ass hair with one chic swoop. Check them out, they do not disappoint. Just grabbed 5 in various colors.

Seconding the French comb recommendation! I have the Sophie Buhai comb and wear it often. Abalone/MOP is a perennial favorite.

I bought the Alexandre de Paris Comb a few months ago, it was nice but I was disappointed you only get one, in my mind it was a set of 2, because that just makes sense to me, so I returned them. I’m glad this classic is getting a resurgence it’s a beautiful way to style hair.

Jess Graves's avatar

haha I can't imagine anything that brand does being a two for one. they are soooo French.

AA. Adams's avatar

Yes, it would make to much sense having a set of two…I opened up the package so excited and 1 🥲 so to everyone who orders make sure you order 2, if you’re planning on wearing your hair halfback which was was my plan

it seems like TR is moving from lettered sizing to numbered for everything… (the eglittas are now also 23, 24, 25, etc and i don’t know what to do 😓)

Jess Graves's avatar

yes it does look that way! time to go try things on. i hate when brands do this

Eveurhting is so chic. Those French hiar combs will no doubt be everywhere after that Row show! Absolutely stunning

I am obsesssssed along with the rest of the internet. the hair went more viral than the actual clothes!

I love myself a big ass bag, even in LA where we all have cars. Even when shopping for fashion I will stuff everything into my bag and not take boxes and shopping bags, to not be wasteful.

I have shorter hair now and I miss my tortoise shell hair combs especially when I see this picture! I suppose I should let them go though as I will never have long hair again!! 🥹

Jess Graves's avatar

you could just use them to put your hair half up/half down instead if you have a bob!

LESLIE T's avatar

Will do more of this! Thank you!!

I love and have been using French hair combs for many years - very Ali McGraw in a good way. I've recently been looking for more headbands. I have a black one from Loeffler that I love, I bought a thin one from Alexandre De Paris but found it has stretched out so will keep looking.

From slob chic to perfectly pristine hair combs—the range here is exactly what makes me love TLL! I’ve been eyeing that color of the Galas…am tempted though by the Maria McManus ones you shared last week, too!

Jess Graves's avatar

tbh if I weren't buying it as a set for the shirt, I would go for the Maria McManus

That grey set is *perfection* especially for recreating some slob chic outfits (a trend I’m 100% down to try myself).
