I have found Phoebe's sizing advice on her website to be spot on for the items I've tried. Though interestingly, the zip polo sweater from last season, in taupe and yellow, suggested sizing up for a slouchy fit; the blue version this season simply states to take your usual size. I ended up selecting a size medium (as someone solidly between 36-38 according to her site's size guide "body measurements"). The medium is a perfect slouchy fit. I ended up with size small in the shrunken v-neck sweaters from last season, and those also work (sizing advice on those said take your usual size). For the classic/tapered jeans, it says to take a size or two up. I took a 38 and could probably have pulled off a 40 with a belt, but I love the 38 (slouchy, though perhaps not quite as much as on the model). I also have a size 36 in the previous season viscose and silk in the classic jeans cut, and those also fit, albeit much closer than on the model. I have the underpinnings tank in medium and the crew-neck long-sleeve in large, and I'm glad I sized up because I wanted them looser, and I have broad shoulders. I am sure the recommendation of taking my usual size (36-38) would have produced a fit much like on the model as well. I have been hesitant to try anything more tailored or with unusual patterning without trying it on first for all the reasons you've outlined! Thank you for doing some recon for us, and so sorry to hear about the concussion!
For the bumper bootie, I’m usually a true size 37 and narrow feet. There’s only 36 and 38 available on a no returns site - how do you think the 38 would fit with socks?
Ugh sorry about the concussion~ I was treated by Dr Mickey at UPMC. UPMChttps://share.google/kp6qD9HBXKHxxoYeO
Radically different approach than old school “rest in the dark” ~ I fully recovered in ~ 7mos from a vestibular concussion (on a horse who had a rotational fall 😖)
Plus if you go there for care, their clinic overlooks Penguins practice rink.
Sarah polley writes about her head knock experience here.. & is how I found Dr Collins
Feel free to DM me. Current thinking is to get super precise diagnosis (eg mine was vestibular. If I swung my head to the left my “eyes came w me” even if I tried to focus on object at eye level. They evaluate you & then you do hardcore PT (v specific). Protocol has you increase tolerance to noxious exposures (sound & light) in doses.. & I put off a move so I could keep riding (safe horse, not the one who’d gone upside down) & playing golf.
My injury was head & neck; I didn’t lose consciousness & only had a light knock. But the injury resulted from my head banging into front of helmet as the horse went down & over..
HSS was useless (was there for the cervical spine/whiplash) & kept insisting I was “doing too much”
He does phone consults & you may b able to find someone in NyC he’s trained.. & a PT that specializes in in whatever variety of concussion you have.
Best news is: I have zero residual issues, despite having spent months saying things like “fuckily” & other made up words. Super sobering xo
I tried on a pair of Phoebe pants at A’Marees a couple weeks ago in a 36 (most certainly not my size) and was shocked they closed (albeit, with zero room to breathe). I was able to track them down in a 40 from BG and they arrived last week and they’re literally perfect. As a solid 38 I think my lesson was just to size up at least one in all her stuff to get the Phoebe vibe.
Hi Jess, I was sorry to read about your accident and concussion. It sounds like you did the right thing taking that screen break, even though I’m sure it wasn’t easy! Now that you’re back online, I hope your recovery continues to go smoothly. Take it easy and feel better soon! We missed you.

Bumper is roomy on me, that was a style that ran big!
So sorry to hear about the concussion. I had a bad one almost 13 years ago. Please take care of yourself!!
I’m okay! But yall are making me question if I took it too lightly

I’ve been coveting those shorts for months. Two shorts you say? Thank you for breaking that spell.
Two!
