"Maybe that’s vapid, but the girls who get it will get it."

because I wanted to be friends with the kind of girl who would sit next to me at Via Carota at 3 pm and clock my shoes

Oh yeah. That “I don’t know who you are… but I KNOW who you ARE.” How I miss it out here in Patagonia-land (but when you clock it here you clock it big so there is that)

This, with different locales, is the essence of my group chats with old friends about the challenges of finding new ones. Well articulated, thank you.

Like a moth to a flame!! I love your newsletter and keep coming back bc it’s so much more than a shopping newsletter. It’s a lifestyle. A vibe. It’s for women with taste ❤️❤️❤️

“I want to flirt with my girl crushes, and this newsletter is a potent love potion. Maybe I was always going to end up here. Jess observed that I didn’t talk about shopping when I described my motivation to her, and I told her it’s because fashion is secondary: the clothes are cool because of the woman wearing them.”

Always wanted to live in THE city having grown up in San Francisco (when it was feral and bohemian and safe and beautiful) but yearly visits to my sweet grandmother's apt in Peter Cooper Village with my mom always made me want to move there. Never did but still love it and go every chance I get! Love your newsletter, Jess!
