I didn’t think I had an “aesthetic”, given I have never declared one. Not qualifying myself by clique is a privilege I have earned by aging out of high school. But apparently, I was wrong. I do have an aesthetic — “the clean look”. Who knew?
Yesterday, while minding my own Millenial business, a girl who looked to be about 17 approached me and said I was “killing the clean look.” At the time, I thought it might be some kind of passive-aggressive diss (was she inferring my cheuginess?) so I Googled it and was super intrigued by what I found. Let’s get into it.
