Hi. I’m ready to get the heck out of the city for a while. I’ve spent the last two weeks running around to countless events day and night, and I haven’t had any time to sit down and write to you. I’m a teensy bit socially burned out and ready for some quiet time with a book on a beach chair. Here’s what’s been on my radar lately:
I’m packing three books I’ve been saving for vacation: A Year on Earth with Mr. Hell, Pandora Sykes’ soapy new novel Wives Like Us, and hometown horror story Bright Young Women.
I got a private viewing of the Frank Stella exhibition courtesy of the lovely folks at Khaite last week at Jeffrey Deitch. It was really something. The sheer scale of the sculptures is domineering in a way I wasn’t expecting. I’m taking their ambition as a cue for my own life.
I finally made it uptown to Attersee. It’s just about theeee most tastefully appointed space in New York. Ming Dynasty antiquities mingle with silk pouches and figurative art in a woozy blend of luxury you want to sink into. I’m pondering a seersucker top in a broad gingham and this cheerful popover.
Kallmeyer debuted the Resort ‘25 collection last week, and I can’t get it out of my head, particularly one leather jacket and a bow-tied pink oxford shirt I practically slobbered on. I love her clothes because she thinks first about the way women will live in them — women who dress to please themselves first.
Add to cart: Gimaguas single earring / Kallmeyer Rae top / Tory Burch dress / Interior shirt dress / Tibi Darwin leather belt / The Row large Oregon tote
O.G. blogger Heather Clawson of Habitually Chic has joined Substack and wrote a wonderful letter exploring the design of The Row’s new Amagansett store.
Cassandra Grey’s got me sold on Fara Homidi. Her tasteful blend of ease and artistry has my attention — not difficult with those eye-catching compacts.
I’ve been having a big Cy Twombly phase since discovering photos of his Italian homes on Pinterest, and this article makes me want to book a ticket immediately.
Katie Holmes, who I am perennially trying to dress like, put together a capsule collaboration with A.P.C. from the brand’s archives. The result is a draw of tidy classics that neatly align with one another. I particularly like the Samantha skirt in sharp indigo Japanese denim.

“There’s something so uncomplicated and tender about feeling like in the course of a day, all I really need is an hour and change to take a walk.” A great letter from
about city walks that felt cozy like a bowl of chicken soup. What swimwear brands are y’all liking right now?
I’ll leave you with a styled look composed of pieces from Anna October’s very good J.Crew collab.
