The List: That New Carven, Phoebe Being Filthy, Frankie Says "Relax".
Plus: Victoria Beckham shops the high street?
The new (breathlessly anticipated by not only me but
, and others) Carven finally hit Net-a-Porter and it’s selling through quickly. Highlights include a gossamer trench, generously proportioned clutches, and a navy blazer to disappear inside. What did you think of the Victoria Beckham x Mango collab? I thought there were a couple of pretty dresses and coverups, I loved the gathered shirt with the back opening, and that giant black raffia tote was a killer buy for 300 bucks.
Other new arrivals worth your urgency: Loewe’s XL puzzle tote in summer-ready raffia, a breezy summer knit from Lauren Manoogan, The Row’s beloved Gunther shorts in a new nylon shell, Bottega’s show-stopping Lauren 1980 clutch, and minimal sandals from the classic St Tropez brand K.Jacques.
Where are you going this summer, anyway? I have some ideas for what to wear.
A beauty minute for Typology’s lip peel, which exfoliates and preps your lips perfectly for a product like Westman Atelier’s new matte lipsticks. Jillian Dempsey recently sent over the new lip gloss and it’s so youthful and happy! I love it paired with the brand’s cheek tint in Rosy.
The Row seems to be encouraging us to embrace ripped jeans again, so can I admit I never abandoned them? Maybe it’s the 90s kid in me, but I’ve always loved the look. AGolde does a great pair for less than half the pennies of The Row’s version. I like it paired with the tension of a more polished (but still relaxed) top, like this cotton number by Khaite — a nod to another nostalgic wardrobe staple, the “going out top”.
I feel like our apartment has become a bit of a party house! We seem to be hosting a few people for drinks every weekend! I’m also hosting a big dinner party with a brand in May (more on that soon) and having my Mom for a long stay, so I’ve been freshening up around the house a lot. I am forever eyeballing comfy, deep chairs, patinated planters for my patio (say that five times fast), and sexy new kitchen knives.
Matches is down to 30% off sitewide, 40% if you’re Tier 2 or above (for now). I picked through all 12,000+ items and edited it down to the safest bets.
Why aren’t more people talking about G.Label? It flies way too under the radar in my opinion. The quality is excellent, the pricing is competitive for its category, and every piece I’ve bought I’ve held onto for years and years because it’s such a classic. I just grabbed this white shirt dress for Europe this summer and I think it will be fantastic for beach days and city nights alike. I like it with a little leather mule and a basket bag or worn with a swimsuit and a ballcap.
I already mentioned them in Sunday’s send, but it’s worth repeating that these Frame Palazzo jeans have an incredible fit. Would look great with this comfy number by The Row or anything similar.
Like everyone else, I, too, have fallen for Theraplush…
I held today’s send waiting on DHL because I wanted to tell you how some of the Phoebe Philo pieces I ordered fit, namely the (frankly, incredible) ballet flats. Let’s also talk Frankie Shop…
