The Look Book: A Pop of Citron
You don't have to wait for warmer weather to sport Springtime's hottest shade.

Happy Friday, friends. Here’s a little something light as we head into the weekend, per your requests: more outfit formulas.
I’ve downshifted into a “hunker down” mindset as we ride out these last six weeks of cold. Spring is an encouraging thought right now, and the only shopping I’ve been doing is of an optimistic nature, defined by looking forward and suited for warmer climes. But I love it when I don’t have to “save” a new purchase and can wear it right this instant — and on into the new season.
I’ve been really taken with citron lately, a yellow-leaning cousin of chartreuse that matches nothing, but goes with everything. It’s the fresh, unexpected color pop I’m craving in a looming spring awash with the same boring, ditsy florals I’ve seen a hundred times. It’s even better when it comes in a sculptural shape, which when paired with solid standards, makes a last season’s staple — a slinky slip dress, a cozy faux fur — wear like something new. Also great for Valentine’s date night or a Galentine’s night in. Citron: consider it a neutral!
