I once heard Buckhead in Atlanta called “The Rodeo Drive of the South” and had myself a little laugh. It’s nice and all, but it can’t touch the absolute splendor of Palm Beach’s Worth Avenue, which, in my opinion, is the only real competitor Rodeo Drive has below the Mason-Dixon.
Palm Beach proper is an island thick with wild wealth, and the concentration of luxury names on Worth Avenue is merely where shopping begins. There are loads of other gems worth mining on the island and across the bridge. Think way beyond Chanel and Hermes, babe — the home stores here are next-level, the estate jewelry is unreal, and it’s a vintage hunter’s dream.
In the style of our Mexico City and New York City Shopping Maps, I’ve tapped a handful of 561 area code friends to spill on the best spots.
Compiled in an easy-to-use Google Map, let our Palm Beach Shopping Map lead the way next time you’re on the island. Below, dive deeper for recs from some of our favorite locals.
, Writer + Trend Expert: “I think my favorite PB spots are interiors, surprisingly? Casa Branca, Casa Gusto, and Kemble Interiors. Then obviously, Kassatly’s [linens and pajamas] is a must. Also, people don’t talk enough about how there’s always a STRONG clothing sale at Saks on Worth, and for shoes, they typically have more in stock from The Row than anywhere else (although last time I popped in they had dramatically scaled back on their selection).
IMHO there’s nothing about Kirna Zabete’s curation that feels compellingly “Palm Beach” compared to the one in Soho, so I never actually buy anything YET I always make the time to go?? Best combined with a cheeky whole milk cappuccino at Sant Ambroeus. Dairy feels essential in PB, I can’t explain it. It’s best to go for an early lunch to joyously sit outside before the sun is too bright. Afterwards, hop into Hermes (why not). And lastly, I miss that popup from The Webster daily (although location was mid)!”
Victoria Lampley, Founder, The Stax + : “I went to Palm Beach Day, and my favorite memories are still walking in uniform to Palm Beach Boys Club and saving up for Roxy Bikinis and Rainbow sandals. I just took my kids to their next-door sister store, Aristokids, and went on a spree for the whole fam. The best PB Merch on the island. A true classic island shopping destination that still stands today.
I’m in the jewelry business, so picking my favorite jewelry spot is hard as I have several. But whenever I’m in Palm Beach, I love to visit the one and only Nicholas Varney, he is a true artist and genius. I love going to Richters on Worth Avenue for vintage; their family-owned business is the best. Mish Fine Jewelry is a must-visit destination, I feel like a dame the minute I enter his stunning space. And my friend Elizabeth Tuke opened Tuke Bazaar — she always has a fun edit to shop! Let's not forget about my friend Camille Zarsky, who owns the best jewelry shop in NYC, The Seven, and pops up in Palm Beach for the season.
Lastly, when Marisa Klass is in town, we try to do a little event together, and I'm always jonesing after her shell and bead creations. Most of her shells are foraged on the beaches of Palm Beach, making it feel that much closer to home."
, Influencer: “I love all of Dixie Highway's antique and home stores, right over the bridge. There are so many, you could easily spend a whole day perusing. Another favorite is Julia Amory, which always carries lots of colorful dresses and separates that are great for hot weather.
My sisters and I are obsessed with Living With Ivey, it’s sort of a wellness store? They carry clean beauty and home items. It’s honestly the BEST. I always pop into Meg Braff Designs and Coniglio Palm Beach, too.”
Emme Parsons, Shoe Designer: “My favorite place to shop on the island is [Bethesda-by-the-Sea thrift shop] The Church Mouse. There are always fun serving platters and glasses or dishes for entertaining that are better quality than anything you can buy new. I feel good about it being more sustainable.
My friend, Emma Richter and her family own Richter's on Worth Avenue. They have an incredible collection of vintage Bulgari and Cartier, and she has the best taste, hands down.”
Bettina Anderson, Model + Philanthropist: “I love spending time at The Royal [Poinciana], where some of my favorite stores, including Veronica Beard and Alice + Olivia, are.
And I love popping into my friend Julia Amory’s boutique, which is an absolute gem—her designs perfectly capture the essence of Palm Beach elegance.”
Danielle Rollins, Interior Designer: “Worth Avenue is a shopping dream, it’s very see and be seen. There is every designer boutique you can think of, plus little vias off the street that you can meander around and discover all kinds of treasures.”
Bobbi Brown, Jones Road: “You can probably find me at Hermes, Lingua Franca, Nili Lotan, or any other shops at Royal Poinciana.”
This is such a good list! I live in Ft Lauderdale & a lot of people from Sfla are intimidated by the town of Palm Beach and afraid to “cross the bridge” My .02 is: once you exit your car, no one has any idea whether you’re a Flagler, a Getty or a Jen from Ft Laud- and alllllll the waiters, hostesses and retail people generally assume you’re the former— which makes it GREAT fun to go get pizza & ice cream and window shop regardless of your budget. Also the best sale items ever (specifically shoes) live at the Saks on Worth. For now… 🛍️
I loved this -- and in such radiant company, thank you for having me ILY ILY ILY <3
