Toteme Sits at the Popular Table.
Runs the crew, actually.
One of the greatest things about a brand like Toteme is its seasonality. Something from three years ago looks as current as a piece plucked off the rack this afternoon. For a luxury brand, it’s well-priced. The clothing is constructed sturdily and with care. Sizing is accurate if not generous. And it’s easy to mix in with anyone’s existing wardrobe. It’s sensible, it plays in a lot of different contexts and for many different occassions, and everything about it feels chic and well-considered.
I’d venture to guess these are the reasons why it’s such a popular brand with the readers of this newsletter.
MyTheresa is hosting a dinner with the brand in a few weeks in Amagansett and I’ve been thinking about what to wear. So I was picking through the website this morning… and was shocked to find tons of Toteme marked down up to 70%.
I don’t know how long this has been the case, I’ve admittedly been eyeball-deep in moving fog (we move homes THIS week, and it snuck up). But I had to round up some pieces for you right away because their stuff is always such a great buy — especially on sale. I styled them with some sale pieces from other brands to get your mind jogging about mixing ‘em into your existing wardrobe.
I know it’s summer right now, but I urge you to think about the chilly weather ahead. This is the time to get amazing deals on fall pieces. And the thing about Toteme is they produce a lot of the same items year after year, so anything you buy now will look au courant come Autumn. Top it off with something unexpected and new if you have somewhere schmance to go, like with this or this.
You can view all the sale Toteme here. Happy shopping.
Parting thought: let’s discuss the Freaky Sexiness of a Mesh Ballet Flat. A truly divisive shoe. Personally? I’m very bought in here. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think, especially if you hate them. I want to know WHY.
