Happy Friday. I wanted to share a few quick gems I’ve found on Amazon, of all places. These items are in no particular order of importance or usefulness, but I will tell you again, like everything in this newsletter, this is stuff I really own/use. I didn’t pull it off some Affiliate network having never tried it.
Some of these items are seemingly mundane, but the nature of useful things doesn’t always have to be sexy and editorial, does it?
If you like this kind of thing, let me know! Just reply to this email or DM me on IG.
The Hermetic Tarot Cards: Because it’s that time of year! I don’t read Tarot, but I used these as fun place cards for a Halloween dinner party.
Classic Glass Bottles: I fill these with tap water and keep them in the fridge for a more sustainable solution. Rinse and re-use! Plus, they look chic.
Emotional Support Water Bottle: Okay, that’s not what it’s actually called, but it’s how I feel about it because it’s like an adult Binky. This cup (it has to be the one with the straw) went viral after an influencer named Tinx mentioned that her Victoria's Secret model friends swear by it for how cold it keeps their water. I have the white.
Jonathan Adler Place Card Holders: Dinner party place card accouterment, again! They inject a little humor into a table setting.
Pastel Tea Scented Erasers: Does one *need* chic tea-scented erasers in a menagerie of pleasant pastel hues? Well, no. But they cheer up my desk. I also think these would be very cute stocking stuffers.
Maybelline Brow Tattoo: This stuff went way viral on TikTok and for very good reason — it works like a charm. Essentially, you coat your eyebrows in this stuff, let it sit for a bit, peel it off, and boom, you’ve got yourself beautiful, temporarily-tinted brows. A bunch of my girlfriends and I had a little too much wine one night and all tried it. If we can do it tipsy and get good results, then it’s pretty idiot-proof.
Palo Santo Smudging Sticks: Need to cleanse the energy somewhere? Instead of smudging with sage, try this. Even if you’re not into the smudging aspect, It smells divine.
Face-Massaging Ice Roller: Thanks to Kathleen Jennings, these things are pretty prevalent these days. But if you somehow don’t already have one in your arsenal, they’re pretty amazing. You just keep one in your freezer to roll over your visage when your face is looking a little puffy. They also just feel good. I used mine when I had a migraine this week.
Chic Yatzy: If you’re an early bird Holiday shopper, this is a pretty solid crowd-pleaser. It’s the classic game Yahtzee but repackaged to please any discerning design snob (me).
Linen Luncheon Napkins: sounds boring, right? Look again! These paper-thin linen napkins come on a perforated roll. They look elegant enough for a casual place setting, but they stash with just about zero space. You can wash and re-use them three or four times, too. Every time I gift someone a roll of these, they’re impressed. Another good stocking stuffer tbh!
The Best Makeup Brush Cleaner: There! I said it! There is nothing better than this stuff (that I have tried). It even smells nice. If you don’t believe me, it’s also what Gucci Westman uses. So there.
A subscription to The Love List: heyo! Had to slide that one in here at the end. I know, it’s not an Amazon thing. But ICYMI, we launched a paid subscription tier this week, which we’re really excited about. If you like it here and want to support The Love List — for $5 a month — we’d love to have you. Making all this good content for you takes resources. Plus, there are perks! (Don’t worry, your regular Weds/Sun newsletters remain free.)
