So relatable. I moved to California from Chicago almost 13 years ago… but I’ll never identify as a Californian, and one of my favorite things about me is not being “from here.” You can absolutely hold true to your past, present, and future versions of yourself all at once and don’t let anyone say otherwise.
as a georgia girl who moved across the country after grad school (roll tide) - this hits close to the heart. i miss the south and my friends and family every day but am also so happy to live somewhere new and different. but damn i wish they cared about SEC football in colorado!
All of us are made up of where we came from and who we grew up with! Old friends are the best and new ones are fabulous, but you can’t make new old friends!
The cover of your playlist looks like Cumberland Island and it almost made me cry. I’ve lived in NY for nearly 25 years. I built my whole life here, but I am so happy to head to LaGuardia and see the gate to BHM and know that I’m headed “home”.
Love this and always find you authentic. Where we have lived makes us who we are-Chicago born and raised, Boston for the adult years and Charleston in and out and now full time. All the places make us who we are and the more places the more interesting. Keep doing you- each place is represented and makes you even more interesting.
