The Love List is a style newsletter about the culture of shopping. Our community thrives on pleasure, indulgence, and the thrill of discovery.
What Others Are Saying:
“Your fashionable friend.” - VOGUE
“One of the platform’s most popular shopping gurus, Graves is the rare Substack-er that gets a front-row seat to the Khaite fashion show. Retail guru Mickey Drexler recently hired her to curate a room full of cool girls for his line Alex Mill.” - BUSINESS OF FASHION
“A certified cool girl shares her secrets.” - SUBSTACK
“A capital ‘F’ Fashion Influencer.” - BUSINESS OF FASHION
“Fashion newsletters exploded during the pandemic. But the latest iteration seems to be missives built around commerce, aiming to cull the black hole of Google results and Instagram ads out there into a curated list with an editorial point of view. A standout of the genre: Jess Graves’ The Love List." - ELLE
Who is Jess Graves?
I founded The Love List in 2007 as a lifestyle blog and style column in Atlanta magazine, where I was a contributing writer for eight years.
An early publisher in the space, Barney's New York called it “The Blog That Started it All.” It was also crowned one of Town & Country’s favorite websites, and Southern Living named me one of the “75 Most Stylish Southerners.” I shuttered it in 2018 to focus on my client-facing business.
In 2021, restless for a new creative outlet, I revived The Love List as a newsletter. It is now one of Substack’s top 20 fashion and beauty outlets.
After spending ten years in Atlanta, I relocated to the Gramercy Park area of New York City, where I live today with my partner and two dogs.
My writing has appeared in publications such as Vogue, Town & Country, Complex, Vanity Fair, Eater, Four-Pins, InStyle, GQ, and Food & Wine. I am currently working on my first book.
