26 Things That Absolutely Delighted Me in November
Italian cashmere, silver egg cups, new Chanel, and designer chocolates.
Hearing what you all got on sale during the holiday weekend, such a chic group! I also shared the (very few but meaningful) things I bought. I’m pretty tired of all the BF/CM stuff by now, but it’s worth mentioning that Net-a-Porter is having an extra 15% off sale today only with code CYBER15. I went ahead and updated THE SHOP with selects from their sale, as well as FWRD’s 80% off free-for-all, which includes tons of The Row.
Learning that Malo recently relaunched. Malo defined Italian knitwear in the 80s and 90s, with amazing fine-gauge products captured in seductive ad campaigns by Peter Lindbergh. The relaunch is led by industry vet Michelle Kessler-Sanders, who has worked at Vera Wang, Calvin Klein, and Vogue. The brand is recapturing that language of beauty with a capsule that reimagines archival pieces.
Reading ’s in-depth Q&A on YOLO Journal about moving abroad to Paris with her family.
Thinking about how I want to be a toast rack and egg cup kind of girl in 2026.
Coveting this insane Lalique vase and pondering the lengths of my manifestation abilities.
Looking forward to seeing more of Blazy’s vision for Chanel when Tuesday’s Metiers d’Art show debuts.
Taking ’s term “the Cult Classicist” and running with it because nobody has ever put my personal style on the head of a pin so adeptly.
Buying a Polaroid printer from
’s gift guide.Watching my hair grow like it never has before, thanks to this stuff. I don’t care if you’re skeptical; it works.
Being smug about my latest fragrance stack: this moisturizer, this oil, and a return to this forever favorite perfume.
Making the girls in my fiancé’s office really happy by giving them heaps of this stuff. Break room beauty booty!
Basking in the compliments on my skin, which count double in the winter when it’s extra tough to stay glowy. I attribute it to this stuff, this moisturizer, this cleanser, and this tonic to sweep away dead skin.
(Okay, fine, and a few drops of this magical stuff applied with my more magical sponge to even things out.)
It’s high school all over again, because I’m back on this stuff.
My most fantastic life hack for the easiest path to a great-smelling home is this. I will die on this hill.
My go-to gift for the men on my list who stump me is one of these. Or this bundle to be extra about it. For the younger set, I’ll throw in something like this. For the older set, nice bourbon. For the more glamorous women, same, but different.
Drooling because Metier’s holiday collection is sexy. You could wear this clutch with your oldest sweats and still look expensive. And I love the quilted suede moment.
Confessing that I made one additional “Black Friday” purchase, a sick strap to upgrade and modernize my Kelly 32 a bit. I have an oversized, fluffy Phoebe Philo robe coat, and it requires a bag strap that won't slip off your shoulder.
Oops! No, two additional. Because I also bought a big jar of Cerabalm.
Thinking about how, if you’re trend-averse, the easiest way to make an outfit current is shoes. And the second easiest is glasses — optical or sun. These glasses would make anyone look cooler and smarter, especially the kind of girl knocking around in High Sport pants and a Sherman Field cord necklace.
The chic chocolates we put out for guests this Thanksgiving.
The red wick kills me.
Buying absurd things (this, these) for my endlessly spoiled dogs.
I’d love to get a subscription to The Paris Review for Christmas.
Gift shopping. It makes me happy to do nice things for other people. I really thought it through and put a ton of research into this year’s gift guides. There are ideas for the hosts and gourmands, the coolest girl you know, and a little something for yourself. Gifts for the high-end homebody feel especially relevant, given I was in WSJ’s Off Duty yesterday talking about that very topic.

I’ve worn Portrait of a Lady for several years now- it is the most glamorous, quietly sexy scent especially for winter! I highly suggest doubling down with the body wash for a real treat yourself experience.
So funny. I've been giving The Paris Review subscription to my dear girlfriends for a while now. It is a treasure that keeps on giving.
